Jim officially announced on his YouTube page that he has gone today from Sirius. Sam said yesterday that he signed an extension, so, I wonder if that means when the extension is done, he’s officially out of there.
He was kind of talking back-and-forth yesterday, saying that he would prefer Norton to come back, and not talk about replacements, But, he was entertaining the idea of a replacement if Norton didn’t come back.
Not sure if I’ll continue listening, but if I don’t, thanks for everything you did over the years, Joe.
Thanks for the update. A bit annoyed that Jim is being a drama queen with compensation. He's seen Opie and Ant make millions over the years but that was a different time. They were on 5 days a week, 4 hours each day and podcasts weren't around or at least that big back then.
Bummed people aren’t into the new show. I personally love the dynamics between them all. I love love love Jim. But it was time! I’m excited for this new thing. Will keep checking here for shows. Thanks again a million times! All hail TEFFT
Yes, I agree. It will take some getting used to. I do feel though that Jim has been pretty checked out the last 6 mo or so. Everyone else seemed to be bringing a lot more to the show. Whereas Jim’s role seemed a bit more reactionary. He’s talent, so that’s understandable. It didn’t bother me. Someone said the boys try to hard on their own, but I interpret that as them having a more structured radio mindset to Jim’s comedian one. There’s something about a show with a 20 year history that just can’t compete with all these comedian podcasts.
I quit listening almost exactly a year ago... got sick of Sam's cackling. Just wanted to checkout this first show to see how he handles it when even he isn't really sure if his co-host is gone. I'll be curious if they take on a new co-host (they need to), and who (which comedian) it is. I'm guessing it would be Fidance - but I hear he isn't great with keeping to schedules. Interesting happening, for sure. Already checked out Jim's new solo podcast - we'll see how that goes. I do find it amusing that at the end, the one person left on the radio at SeriusXM, is Sam. It's kind of impressive of the little weasel.
Opie went on a two hour rant the other day, and got a whole 100 people on his live stream to watch, because the only time he can get viewers, is if he’s bashing old members of the show.
This time, it was Sam. Saying that he’s a snake, he’s a weasel, and that he backstabs people, and wouldn’t be surprised if Sam and Jim no longer like each other, just like, and this is Gregg saying this, Anthony and Sam don’t get along anymore. it’s very impressive how Sam is the last person standing other of everybody. I mean, I know there’s Travis, Troy and Mike, but literally the whole group, everybody is gen, except Sam. Little intern Sam, who sucked on a dildo and sat on Bob Kelly’s lap, a little bit too convincingly, to get his name out there. Never in my wildest dreams, when I was listening to them on WBCN in Boston in the early 2000’s, That Sam Roberts would be the one with his foot on the pile of ash that was the Opie and Anthony show universe.
I would be really interested to see if they get a cohost. Sam said he doesn’t want anybody to replace Jim, just in case he came back, but that’s not happening now, so, it’ll either happen soon, or he will just play off of Troy, who seems to be taking a more second mic position now
Either way, I’ll keep listening. It’s something in my ears to keep me busy while I’m working a railroad night shift from 9 PM to 5 AM.
Thanks for all you do Joe, and if Sam doesn’t sign back after the extension, just know, we will never forget what you did for us.
I get what Opie is saying, but it is Opie. I do not think Sam had anything to do with Jim leaving. At the same time he might be slightly glad because its his show now. I dont blame him
The show has reduced itself once again, i started listening the day Wesley Snipes was sent to prison. The infamous Greg Hughes "we gotta go to commercial" incident. Sam is the Tiron Lanister of the radio broadcast world. T.L.P.B. litte chicken finger eating weasel. Good for him and I wish him the best.
Hey Joseph, any idea what tf is going on?
ReplyDeleteSounds like Jim is gone and Sam might hang around
DeletePoor Sammy shit muffins. Will still listen to him but defs the end of an era
ReplyDeleteyep

DeleteYeah thanks Joe. To me Jim was the reason for the show. Will probably try to listen but not optimistic, without Jim they try way too hard.
ReplyDeleteIt will be hard to continue but I will.

ReplyDeleteThe problem is that Jim was the contrast to Sam and the Teft Dawg. Without Norton, everyone else just agree with each other which is BORING.

DeleteTrue, I'll still continue to listen.
DeleteAlso! If posting stops here, and anyone out there has a lead where to find the new show, would be super appreciative if the info was posted here :)
ReplyDeleteIt wont stop
DeleteI'll listen to Sammy Shitfarts
